It reeks of immaturity and self-obsession and I don't understand how they aren't embarrassed to just fall back on that instead of forming a coherent argument.

I've even seen women speaking about an individual man who she was wronged by and being accused of hating all men.

I've seen women saying they wished they could walk at night without being followed or catcalled and being told they must hate all men.

If you don't want to actually engage in the conversation why not just scroll on or walk away?

I feel it’s cause most of these statements are retaliations, there’s a lot of serious issues around everything both male female equivalent.
I see mostly dudes arguing against statements (valid statements) because said statements i fee aren’t brought about right. More often then not it is “men are pigs” even if it’s following with a “not all men” it still irks, it’s a generalisation, and I feel does derive from hate, those don’t help anyone. I’ve seen a lot of my friends argue it emotionally, which is fair enough to, but I find they often lack the control over their emotions so end up unintentionally insulting a lot of guys me included, with said statements. Then these guys get riled up and do the exact same thing, lacking emotional control annd maturity then insulting anyone female and just protesting the protest. It’s just one huge loop of belittlement, generalisation, and victimisation.

I remember questioning all my friend groups about sexual assault, self confidence, insecurities. I found both groups actually suffered equally. Dudes didn’t seem to give a fuck about being assaulted. And girls seemed to ignore the need for self confidence. Whilst both groups were just full of insecurities.

Gender and shit is ducking complicated nowadays, people are pushing for equality whilst ignoring the differences. From my pov I’ve only seen people point out difference in struggles. More thought needs to be put into everything, in my belief from both male and females.

Because maybe they see the same traits in themselves. I don’t say that. Unless someone makes a comment or post outright saying something about all men. I say the same thing if someone does it to women.

But. There is a number of women who do this too. I remember once I made a post about some things I don’t like when women do. If they read my question they would know I was not talking about all women.

A lot of women agreed with me and a few men were angry and defending their actions. There was a few women telling me I hate women. In reality. Again they probably seen the traits in themselves and got personally offended.

I think it’s the case with some guys. Like. If you call a guy out for using a woman for sex. If you call someone out and someone does that. They think you must hate all men.

But. As you said. Not all men do this. I know you aren’t bashing all men.

The not being able to walk at night is pretty much generalizing many men and isn't taking into consideration that men also can't safely walk alone at night (or even in the daytime in some areas), plus it tends to ignore that men are MORE often the target of violence more than women.

If referencing a specific person then that she shouldn't be accused of hating ALL men because it was specific.

In my 41 years, I have only seen someone catcalled twice in my whole life. It isn't as commonplace as many people claim it is.
