Ladies, have you ever had a guy friend catch feelings for you?

This has been a consistent problem throughout my life. I struggle to have male friends because all of a sudden they tell me they like me. It's confusing to me because I don't do anything to lead them on. I show them the unfiltered version of me and treat them like I would any other friend. Nothing cute or flirtatious about me when I'm with male friends. So I'm not sure what they like so much.

It has ruined many perfectly fine friendships. It's always begged the question to me

You probably have a bright and vibrant personality that attracts people. Being yourself and being confident and unfiltered is more unique and rare nowadays, it’s attractive to a lot of people. It’s hard but at the same time at least your inspiring a beautiful emotion, these people are experiencing a deep trust and affection for you likely because of how you have treated them and made them feel which is overall a good thing.

as for guy girl friendships I would say it’s 100% possible I got lady friends I don’t have any sexual/romantic thoughts for it’s honestly just platonic I assume on both sides. I would say it’s harder to come by though. I’ve been the other side and fallen for friends too.

I’m only young but there’s no golden rule I don’t think…it’s annoying but people are unpredictable.

Some people just click and you don’t click back. Some people both click and fall for each other, and sometimes just neither do, you get friendships. I would say if you’ve told them you don’t feel the same way back they shouldn’t really care, just being around you would be enough. If they’re not okay they need to remove themselves as it’s likely just deep rooted anxiety, lust or insecurities.

Men crave respect even more than physicality. To put it in woman terms, Respect is to Man as Emotional is to Woman.

If you are capable of demonstrating a respect for a guy then you will probably end up with that guy. Lots of those Martha Stewart home types that look like Miss Homebody know how to do this. You may do it unknowingly. It would be very interesting to have been around you etc...

I don't think that they 'eventually' caught feelings for you. They just befriended you because that way they could spend more time with you. And because you weren't interested in them, you probably always maintained an air of mystery towards them. No I don't think men and women can truly just be friends.

I mean some of them were definitely sudden. For example, I had 1 guy friend tell me he loved me after two years of friendship. Felt a bit let down because because i spent so long confiding in him as a brother. If he had feelings for me, he could have told me much earlier, that's why I feel like they "catch feelings".

Once. He was a group partner when I was in college. We spent a lot of time together throughout the semester. He got the wrong idea and asked me out at the end of it all. And he was hurt when I said no.

But men and women can be friends!! One of my very best friends is a guy!!!

Why he confessed to you is probably becuz he felt something he never felt when he was with you.. so yeah... that's how it is..

i've got 3 female friends and I'm really close with them, and I don't think any of us has feelings for each other.
