So I told this guy who has been giving me mixed signals while he has a girlfriend to keep his distance from me and he did this?

He then approached me at a party and he said “Just because your life is shit don’t try to ruin other peoples” and he said “He is not cheating on her”. He has only been dating her a month but he teases me, watches me talking to other men, stares at me when he thinks I’m not looking, he has said suggestive things to me, and the other weekend he took my hand, looked in my eyes and began stroking my hand and his girlfriend was there but she did not see this I think. Was I right to tell him to keep his distance and why did he react in the manner he did?
