Am I tripping or is he not interested?

Met a guy in an app, we chatted daily and hung out four times so far, he initiated making out with me on our last two catch ups we have fun with banter and time flies by, he would always tell me he lobe my hugs etc he's even called me a few times in between our visits... but the last 5 days he no longer adds text to his snaps no longer calls me cute or uses the 😍🥰😘 emojis and leaves me on read most of the time... I asked him if everything is ok and gave lots of opportunities for him to tell me if he's not interested, but he just said "been busy and got a lot on sorry :)" I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I am also wondering if he's no longer interested but too chicken to tell me? Am I tripping or does it sound like he's not interested anymore?

Thanks to those that replied. Turns out he led me on and had infact met someone else although lied and said it was "only new". Instead of being a man and telling me, I had to ask what his deal was so I could move on to other pursuers. He told me he still wanted to be friends with me, but he still only sends me that pathetic streak snap every day, that's it. In summary, I do not have the tolerance to be led on or play silly little games, so dating is definitley not for me 🤣

I've been in these situations before! Stop chasing him and see what he does. If you get no response or effort then you know where you stand. Life does happen though. So just back off a bit and see where it goes. But don't be afraid to let it go if needed. You really don't want a relationship that starts off badly like that anyways.

Thank you, you're comment has been helpful... Sadly I always get mistreated by guys but I thought things were great between us it was as though we'd been friends for years... So the sudden change and lack of communication made me wonder but hopefully in a few days or so he will be back to how he was at the beginning... It's hard not to check in to show I'm there for him but I'll refrain from doing so to see what happens..

Yeah! Just make sure you take them for what they show you and not how they "appeared" to be at first. I spent so long with a guy just because he was so sweet at first and then changed into a nightmare over time. I stayed so long just hoping they would go back to the sweet person I had known at first. You really have to be realistic. Don't waste your time. Those were years I can't get back. Point is, at that point it was great. But when he started showing me another side, it was my fault for not removing myself and thinking back to something he wasn't even showing me anymore. Don't get caught up on what people "used to be." Take them as they are and for what they show you. I do hope they are okay and that things get better. But you drop them like hot cakes if it continues. You can do better and you don't need to chase anything that is for you. ;) Better will come along, I promise. Don't let those guys from the past activate a trauma in you that takes bs off of a guy that treated you nice for a short time. They need to treat you nice ALL of the time. They are out there. Just wait for them!
