Are you showing him affection? Energy are usually reciprocated. Maybe he's interested in you but don't want to invest much as yet.

I have been but I pulled away because energy isn’t being reciprocated like I texted him thanking him for coming out even though he was sick and I texted him emojis and he never reciprocated the emojis , so now I’m just stopping. We also used to have a routine of texting Goodmorning and everything and that recently stopping via him

I'm currently going through this same exact thing. Most likely he must've lost interest with the affection part, but he still considers you to comment on your stuff. However, keep to yourself and see his reaction. Or simply have a conversation with you concern.
