What do you think about living to 100?

My grandpa made it to 99 before he passed. One thing he told me was most of his long time buddies passed away at like 80-85. Must be kind of nerve racking to not know you still have another 20 years when you're probably thinking you're going to go any day. Interesting huh?

I read the obiuary of a man who lived to be 103. He fought in both world wars and was an ambulance driver. I thought about how much history he lived through. I would want to see people go back to the moon and on to Mars. I would like to see what comes next in IT and also see my future grand kids and great grand kids.

I don't think I'd want to. I've already lost enough people that the thought of going decades with no one you care about- or who cares about you- left in the world that the prospect of death has become a LOT less scary.

No interest in going that long. Once my mind is gone and I'm crazy grandma to relatives, then it's time to go.

When it's checkout time... then... you know. I am sure there are exceptions, but I would think the quality of life at 80 would drop pretty significantly.

He did pretty good until he fell, then he was too old to heal fast enough

Dude, the same thing happened to my uncle. Aside from surgery for a blocked carotid artery in his 60's he was fairly healthy. Then, at 83 he fell and broke both of his arms and it was downhill from there.
