Average life expectancies are actually getting shorter. Drugs, alcohol, suicide and accidents are the cause. I am trying to make my own life expectancy.
true! 2020 age 77, 2021 76, nov. 2023 73!
@strateguy632 it is all self inflicted. I am making my own life exoectancy.
"The nation's 90-and-older population nearly tripled over the past three decades, reaching 1.9 million in 2010, according to a report released today by the U. S. Census Bureau and supported by the National Institute on Aging. Over the next four decades, this population is projected to more than quadruple.
Because of increases in life expectancy at older ages, people 90 and older now comprise 4.7 percent of the older population (age 65 and older), as compared with only 2.8 percent in 1980. By 2050, this share is likely to reach 10 percent."
I have great grandparents who all exceeded 100 years old.
My living grandparents are over 100.
I can't say technology played a big role in their longevity.
In fact, they all find technology to be quite a nuisance.
People live until 100 now, wtf are you talking about? You mean the life expectancy rate?

While life expectancies have more than doubled since the late 18th century, the last couple of years saw a downturn, due in large part to COVID. Too bad there isn't a technology to teach people not to do stupid things, participate in riots, etc.
no. not sure who would want to. since it's so depressing to even live the normal expectancy now.
yes, we may find a few ways to boost longevity. quantum computers and biology may help find ways to slow disease progress. they have ideas in the labs...
easy solution... reduce calories!
I believe that living long has more to do with your lifestyle and diet than technology but it can definitely contribute to more people living longer.
It's possible, but only if someone is already eating healthy and getting the correct exercise, as well as keeping an eye on doctor's visits.
In the U. S currently the life expectancy is going down actually. As for me personally I would very much not like to make it to 100. I'm not interested in living that long
Yes for people born today 100 will be a normal age for old people the way 60 or 70 is now.
There was a study done about centenarians. Do you know what most of them had in common?
in the future we will have robots doing human works so there is no problem
It's already happening.
They already are in developed countries.
lot already living to that age
if they live healthy lifestyles
