I was once having fun with a guy after having dinner and I remember he was a bit different than guys I had met before. He did not want to have sex and said he felt too affectionate towards me to do that. Like he did not want to lie to me about stuff. he also said that he would feel bad because I might have expectations from him if we continue hooking up. I said it was fine and that we could have hung out as friends. He also said he didn’t really care about girls he hooked up with before but that he feels respectful towards me.. I asked if he’s serious about not meeting again and he said he’s confused about the situation. He was nice enough to walk me to the cab and give me a call when I got home. I wanted to keep in contact with him but I feel like I would be forcing the situation. He also said he might feel differently in a few weeks. What would you do?

It sounds like he had respectful feelings toward you and he didn't want you to think he only valued you for sex. He possibly wants to move past a phase where he only has meaningless sex but is unsure about getting into a relationship. Maybe he needs to work that out.
