We had originally matched on Friday and I'd sent him a message - he didn't respond that day but the next day, which would be Saturday he replied and apologized for taking so long.. we had a great conversation that seemed to be going somewhere. However, he hasn't responded to my last message which was sent Saturday and it is now Monday afternoon. Should I give it up or wait on him to come back and chat?

Since you sent the last message I would probably wait. Either he has a lot going on or he’s matching with other girls. Being pushy or coming across as needy won’t help either of those situations. This is why I have always hate this part of dating.


If after another day or two he still hasn’t responded I might send a quick message like: “Hey, hope all is well. I felt we had a good vibe and i’d love to continue our conversation from last week if you feel the same.”

Well without knowing the context of the messages and not knowing how vulnerable you want to be with him maybe say something like I've really enjoyed our conversations so far and I am just wondering if you haven't answered because you are busy or if you aren't interested. From what you have said though it seems like he only checks on weekends (or at least not often) and that is most likely why you haven't heard from him. I don't think it would hurt to wait or to message him again. Just depends on how patient you want to be.
