Bonus points if you tell me how to call a man a classy bitch?
I'm a man. We don't GET compliments, especially from women.
However, I've literally only had one woman in my life who was ever nice to me, my late partner from 2012. It was kind of a backhanded compliment, but I knew what she meant. The only time we'd ever argue was her wanting me to "be more confident" and I disliked that because I'm no "Alpha Male" or a perfect person. I'm not even tall or remotely close to it!
So this would sometimes lead to her arguing with me. And one time, among others, she said something that I'm somewhat-paraphrasing (cause I don't remember it verbatim) along the likes of:
"You're an incredibly intelligent, brilliant, passionate, hard-working, dedicated man who has the ability to inspire others and make positive change in the world. You're an amazing man with a good head on your shoulders. It's just too bad you can't see any of it in yourself and would rather spend time commenting on how you're not over six feet tall than appreciate the things that truly matter about you, as a person."
This was 10+ years ago. I didn't say anything after she said that. I don't know what it means. Or how to even respond to that. Still don't. In fact, I think @A_Bell on here said something similar a few days ago, although far shorter and more reserved.
I don't know if Kaitlyn's quote counts as a compliment or not, but I still remember it.
