Is this verbal abuse or a threat?

A guy who was my friend after an online argument started he sent me messages like this...

You a stupid Bi#ch, a f#cking C##t

You gonna get what you deserve!

Peace out Bi#ch

That's about it that was in the message, I'm still in shock mostly because I didn't know this side of him existed

Does the "gonna get what you deserve" message sound like a threat?

If he keeps sending stuff like that warn him with the police. Its not acceptable however lets be honest and real about humans.

We all get angry, we all say things and lash out at some point in our lives when emotional, that includes both genders. The difference is the fear of mens potential to harm. Do you believe his that kind of man? Is he repeatedly sending things or was it just in that moment when he was emotional? What was the context of the argument? Would he have access to you? Or is he shouting off because he knows he couldnt follow through?

Technically it is a written threat, pragmatically is it just sounding off and has no real threat of intent? - i wouldn't know only you do.

Umm nobody should talk to anyone that way and that’s very threatening, tell him to back off or you’ll get the police involved or tell him you have a lawyer in the family and will sue for harassment
