2 years ago he found out that I liked him through a friend. Now every time after 3 years of not seeing each other he can't stop turning around to glance at me when he thinks I don't notice and looks away when I catch him immediately. I'm no longer interested in him and I'm physically not his type. Why does he repeatedly stare at me? Does he just crave the attention?

He is just looking at you. It's not for attention. How do you know what his type is? Type is pretty much non-existent for guys anyway.
