Is chest-hair out of fashion?

I was chatting with a long-time GAG friend, who just turned 21.

She has her first boyfriend, and she's a fan of his hairy chest. He is less-sure how he feels about it.

She asked me: "is chest-hair out of fashion?"

I thought..."I have no idea".

I don't know anything about what's 'fashionable'. I CERTAINLY don't know what's fashionable for guys her age.

So... dudes, ladies: is chest-hair something today's fashionable men should...

-Let grow naturally however it may?

- Do some sort of maintenance on, but not get rid of their chest hair?

- Wax or otherwise get-rid of it?

I'm not even that hairy, pretty much the same as the wolverine and naturally, so it just is what it is... would never shave it either, since no girlfriend of mine ever had complains about it, lol

Never. I prefer my men to be men. I will say I'm not so keen on excessive back hair but if he has some Im not going to turf him out...
But I've been told I have the shallow gal effect after Tony Robbins worked on him

I think the opposite. I think it’s in fashion again, similar to your vintage photo posted. My girlfriend loves a lot of chest hair on guys and likes it when I show mine. So.. I don’t shave or trim it at all

I personally don’t like it when it’s in abundance and i’m dealing with this with a guy I’m dating now. He recently shaved his chest on his own (he doesn’t know how I feel about it) and that’s kind of an issue too. Did I like all the hair? No. Do I like all the pokes on my back now with the stubbles? Also no. His arms are just as hairy and it grosses me out. If I continue to date him I will probably suggest a wax…idk.

Interesting. Thanks for replying. So it would be fair to say, that for you chest hair is a "no"... but shaving is no good either (which is good to know, honestly). Would waxing solve that problem though? (I genuinely do not know)
