Ex got grumpy because I hadn't contacted him in a few days?

We were together for 2 years, broke up one years ago. He's been urging me to call him when ever I need anything, am in any sort of trouble or whatever. So we talked Monday last week. Friday he contacted me to tell me I should have contacted him in the 4 days in between. Wtf is this, he didn't want me in his life so why complain?

I mean it really depends on what kind of relationship y'all have other than just being ex's. Really though no has the right to your time besides you so they shouldn't be mad that you didn't talk to them.
