Why would a guy want to work the same work shift as me?

We have worked together for about 6 months in different departments. But recently for the past 2 months started talking almost everyday. I’ve mentioned to him about finding another job. Then this is where he’s like let’s find the same job together. We do text, play some video games together most of the week. But all he tells me is I’m cool.

You might want to rethink the work together idea. It sounds cool but take it from one who tried it. My wife and I were both Laborarory Technologist for the first 10 years of our marriage. So we were never hired to work the same shift. The remainder of our marriage I picked up a little more school and taught autopsy and surgical pathology. This put me a a different location. Very little contact with each other. I know that when you meet someone with whom you "click", you want to be with them all the time. But you both need time to think. 100% saturation could be a cover for manipulation or control.
