If a guy has me talking to his mom, and has her talk to me sometimes is he likely being genuine?

My number 1 rule about long distance relationships is... NEVER have one. I have tried and they do not work for me personally, for the exact type of reasons you are speaking to here. It like having a serious relationship, with half the level of required participation. Anyone can act right for a weekend or two at a time, but over the course of time how well do you really know this person?

Honestly, the guy sounds like a mama's boy to me. I mean seriously, I have date lots of women, and just how many times I have talked to their mothers or fathers on the phone... ZERO times!!! I have met a few in person and we talk and that's it, so fuck yeah, it's weird. Sounds like his mother is managing his relationship for him, because it's too much for him to do on his own.

Think about that, sounds like he put his mother right in the middle of your relationship and that seriously a RED Flage to me.
