Why would a guy who led me on like my selfies after I cut him off?

Once it was clear that he led me on, I told him that we should just leave it where it is and wished him all the best. We haven’t spoken since but he’s been liking my selfies on instagram. He won’t like any other type of post - not even my travel photos (which is how we met). He only ever likes photos I upload of me.
