What does it mean when I guy says it’s not that deep?

So we where in the car and they were talking about something they did at the mall like an interview with girls that get to choose who they would kiss. He gave me his phone showed me a video is 2 girls kissing him in the cheek then I said oh wow your gonna have to wash your face with Clorox now playing and jealous as well. Then I put my middle finger up to the phone to the girl that was kissing him. Before putting my middle finger up he just said it’s not that deep.

Why would he even say that if he doesn’t like me. He hasn’t told me he hasn’t but based on some of his behavior I can tell. I never told him I like him either but why would he even say that? What does he care if I took it as seriously or not?

Just because he doesn't take you seriously doesn't mean he wants to actively antagonize you. He probably wants to have a decent relationship with you, even if it's not romantic.
