Why does my ex talk to me if he keeps bringing it up?

So a few years back, I had to contact tue police because my ex got so paranoid and his behaviour was erratic emotionally, he then started threatening to call police etc. So I reached out to the police to understand the situation I was in and they said he’s abusive and he was arrested. Fast forward to now, we have been talking for months. He’s been absolutely fine.

We’ve been taking for months and things are really good. But sometimes he brings it up and he said that his mum wouldn’t be happy that he’s talking to me?

Oh my, you must have really liked this man at one time. The police told you he is not mentally healthy. was abusive, and they arrested him. That is very serious so I am concerned of why you would want to keep reacting or speaking with him?

He has NOT FORGOTTEN and in his mind he still owes you. I am afraid one night, he will settle the score. Please be safe and if I was you... I would go dark and stay dark fro the rest of my days. Best-
