He talks, walks, and moves slower when he's around me?

For context, I'm 17F and he's 17M. We're both Juniors. I've been hanging out with him a LOT more recently, and recently he's gotten kinda weird around me.

We used to be really laugh-ey and would have stupid little conversations. But, now, things are quite different. He moves slower and talks slower, and he's been making pretty intense eye contact with me. He used to not make a ton of eye contact, and now that's all he'll do. He's gotten huggier and now expects a hug after every time we talk.

I'm not sure what's going on, and I don't know if he's just starting to like me more, or becoming more distant.

Maybe he's just sad?

It sounds like this guy is passively trying to interact with you. He is possibly trying to hear your conversations. It is a shame he has not spoken and interacted with you directly. Good luck with him but if you like him then you might have to initiate conversation.

I don't know at this point, I think good? I've known him for a while, and it's interesting to think about us being together.
