My roommate and I have lived together for a year or so. We have similar schedules and get along great, and I find him attractive. Recently, he’s started singing little dittys with my name, like in the morning while I’m getting ready or when we watch tv together. Is this a sign he likes me?

Wow, you are seriously reaching.
You wouldn’t say it’s rather flirtatious?
I don't think so.
Yikes, that’s flirting.
Do you know if he’s straight or not?
He is straight, but maybe not so sexual. He’s been single and celibate for quite some time.
Gotcha. Well taking his sexuality into account, humming little songs and throwing your name in there could be harmless. Like when you give someone a nickname or other little things that come with being comfortable. For example, I had a roommate back in my early 20s who got into a habit of making some sort of meal for me throughout the day because they recognized how busy I was. She’d even pick up little things from the store for me here and there. Now if I were lesbian, I would probably interpret this behavior as her expressing feelings for me. But if I knew she didn’t swing that way then I think the most mindful acknowledgment of that behavior would be to assume it’s friendly.
Yeah
