I wouldn't call it controlling. Just obliviousness. Controlling or no, it's stupid that he isn't aware that people cut ties after a breakup. It should be common sense. It's easier to move on too.

He's just finding any way possible to blame you for something and say you're the crazy one. I'd block him off everything and move on with your life.

Because that's what people do to take the heat off themselves. Right now he is finding every reason for him to not look like the bad guy. "Yeah I left her but look at what she's doing. This is why I couldn't stay with her."

Maybe it was your typical scenario of him wanting to do something that day that you didn't approve of so he dumped you first and then had plans to get back together with you that night. That way you couldn't be mad at him for doing what he did because you weren't technically together. I've had that happen to me before.
But he didn’t want to reconcile when I asked for that..
