Why would a guy feel a way when I stopped messaging him?

If I didn't message him, we wouldn't chat at all. But he acted like it hurt his feelings cause I stopped talking to him. It was a long distance thing.

It sounds like you were doing all the work if you needed to message him to chat. Some people don't realize though what they are doing wrong to make something end, then they get their feelings hurt. I'm sure you explained why you ended it but he doesn't get it you just need to move on.

I seen a similar scenario before, in that case it emerged that the guy was mislead into thinking she was not available by a jealous man.
