Guy doesn't speak English?

Is there any hope for a serious relationship with a guy whose English is bad?
He's from china , an international student and he looks good but his spoken English is really bad. He cannot understand most words, doesn't understand what I'm saying if I'm speaking normally and keeps telling me to slow down.

I dont speak fast but I can't speak in my normal range because he won't understand.

He told me when he first came to London, his English was even worse.

I ve met his female friends who are also Chinese and its the same story with them too. They all want or date white guys but cannot express themselves at all.

Most of the time, we just have awkward conversations or ues on Google translate.

Is there any hope or I should just leave?

If you have patience, then it could be a great learning experience. Something as small as a language gap/barrier wouldn't bother me. I would look at it as a way for him to teach you some Mandarin (if that is what he speaking) and you some English to him.

Taking the easy way is not always the best way.

In that case, you should just likely not bother. He's obviously to good for you.

Can it be done? Yes.

It won't be fun or easy though. You've only mentioned his looks though; dating someone on looks alone seems very vapid to me. You won't know if he's racist, has a sense of humor, or anything else about his personality until that language barrier is broached. By then you may already be emotionally connected.
