i met this guy online and he kept saying how much he was interested in getting to know me , so i gave him my number after 2 days. now he doesn’t really respond and he’s active online but doesn’t talk to me. so i tried to return his energy and flirt eith him , like how he did me constantly when we first met, but he told me he wanted to “move slow” and started ignoring me.. i waited 2 days and told him i didn’t want to be friends anymore and blocked him before he could respond. why did he do that? he basically pestered me until i gave in then made me wait?

Haven’t you heard? Online dating is a cesspool of bullshit. You’d be lucky to find an even decent connection let alone a guy who wants to actually get serious. You can keep trying this route if you want, but I feel like it’s only worth one good try and if the trying doesn’t work then you should move on to something else. There are only so many disappointing connections you can make before it starts to take a toll on your self esteem and mental health. Not worth it in my opinion.
