Why doesn’t he talk to me?

There’s this guy I’m trying to understand because we have a lot of mutual friends and acquaintances. I know since freshman year he's been weird. When I met him he acted normal but shortly started to avoid me and would be quiet around me but always watched my stories. He would only say hi if I did. I know he liked me. Recently he’s been talking a lot to this other girl and hangs out with her. He seems very comfortable with her. Yet whenever I’m around he seems to get nervous and stares when I don’t look and gets loud and laughs to get my attention. He unfollowed me on Instagram after I joked with his friend of (the guy) to put some effort in finding someone. However, his friend still follows and watches my stories consistently. I still follow the guy but he will literally ignore my story replies and only react or like some of them. But he takes days to do so. I saw him recently and the same thing of him staring happened. I found out he told his friend that he liked 2 girls and didn’t know what to do. Last semester he was in the group I was hanging out with and was asking ever person who they liked except for me. When they asked him he said he did like someone. But he said that he hadn’t really talked to this girl much and didn’t know her that well. So I’m confused because I’ve been seeing him with that other girl he seems so comfortable with. I know he hasn’t talked to me much and doesn’t know me very well. So if he likes me, why does he ignore me and do all these little stupid games. It’s rude! He talks to everyone else and replies to everyone but me. Is he playing hard to get? IM SO CONFUSED! Hopefully this makes sense. Or is he just a douche? Lol

PS: Mind you we are Juniors in freacking COLLEGE

I've had a similar situation in high school, and eventually when I ignored him is when he started being straightforward, but by then I had already moved on. It seems like he may be having some internal dilemma as to whether or not he wants to make a move. Maybe he hasn't decided on which girl he'd like to pursue, or maybe he's genuinely thinking about whether or not he wants to pursue you. Honestly, I would ignore him. You can do better! You seem like a good girl, really smart and perceptive. Games like that are so immature :/ Maybe if you did so, he'd realize that acting all high school isn't going to get him anywhere.

Anxious and nervous what you would think. When we like someone we depend on their judgement and fear is exxagurated, maybe he feel he'd get rejected by you? Does he know you like him?
