I think the main reason is that they are frustrated with women and with life alltogether. I don´t know why you and other people always bring up the answer that there was no father around.

The problem is that many guys have and have had bad experiences with women, that could happen at home where mum doesn´t respect dad or makes him look bad while making him it a big problem when he does things suprisingly. I therefore don´t think it´s only a father´s fault. Because a father has only influence in a child´s life the mother lets him. Even if he´s around, if mum makes fun of him when he isn´t a boy will learn that dad isn´t a source of help so he´ll look for other sources.

Some guys have been told that masculinity is bad at it´s core in your youth and know realise they´ve been sold a lie because it´s not like their teachers, families or pastors have told them life would be.

And now they are faced with a reality that turns out to be different. All what they´ve learned and how they´ve been raised doesn´t seem helpful.

Maybe because we don't know what you want, and because there's hardly any reciprocated communication, it feels pointless to even try.

Maybe because divorces are mostly caused by women, and men feel no need to make themselves emotionally and financially vulnerable to someone who might be looking for a quick divorce settlement.

Maybe because women will almost always have custody rights in court cases, regardless of how loyal/truthful/responsible they are, just because "she's the mother" (Nevermind the fact that some men are around the children more than said mother, even if they aren't actually the biological father.)
