My bestie and my mum said he fancies me and I wouldn’t have noticed if I hadn’t caught him checking me out. I thought the friendzone was permanent. I’m going out with him as friends soon, one on one. Should I dress down? Like instead of a sleek, sophisticated dress, yoga pants, a long sleeved top and a cardigan? Or a hoodie over a t shirt? I want to turn him off me and my bestie says dressing really casually turns men off you and makes them see you more as one of the boys. Which is what I want.

Why ridiculous? First of all, unless you dress like a hobo, he won't even notice. Second, you really have no idea if he fancies you or not. You are speculating and assuming and he hasn't said he liked you. Just be yourself and stop overthinking.

My best friend says that the way to be permanently friendzoned by guys is to dress in yoga or track pants and hoodies or cheap jumpers. That’s what she does. She s not right if she has obvious woman features. Offending them or turning them off with boy talk will likely put you "must tolerate" zone. It is not likely that they are going to let you in with woman modeling their behavior.
