Why do men like to get "manly" with me at first but drop the "act" when they find out I have accomplished a lot?

I'm a very laid back guy & keep to myself & yet a lot of "MEN" read this as "weakness" & try to "one up me" UNTIL they learned that I did do "manly" thangs in my past

I've lifted 2.5x my bodyweight

(chains & bands included)

115 push ups in a row (cheat touching floor)

28 pull ups (chest over bar)

26 Chin Ups (chest over bar)

28 dips (shoulders all the way down)

& I DID rub a 6:40 mile when I was younger

Apart from that I DID compete in competitive online gaming & won many consecutive matches in a row

The same with "speed running" which is beating a game from start to finish without saving, dying, using any kinds of crutches

Why do men like to get "manly" with me at first but drop the "act" when they find out I have accomplished a lot?
