The guy knows the girl likes him and he wants her to be monogamous. He wants her to be only his’. At least that’s what his actions speak. Then what might be the reason he hates to admit his feelings for her to himself.

To my knowledge he got cheated in his previous relationship and had a rough childhood with parents constant fight and separation.
