If you ask a guy for a hug and he agrees for a hug does it mean he is attracted to you to some extent?

Not necessarily. He might be hugging you in a friendly manner, or because you asked. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you can hug someone of the opposite sex and it be strictly platonic-

I've received hugs from them and guess what-
There was no meaning behind it other than being nice or comforting, or as a greeting.

Now if he's attracted to you, which is probably what you're hoping or assuming? That's different! Usually you can tell in the grip or how he holds you if he's attracted to you or not (ie: a longer hold, versus a quick hug)
