Why would a guy make his schedule really flexible when making plans with a girl? Is it because he really wants to see her?

I would do that for a girl I liked, or someone I liked being around even as friends. But it's a good sign.

I asked a guy out and he’s like right away listing all the days he’s available and saying he can make it any time on those days if I need it to be earlier or later.

Absolutely. And I really like this guy - he has a good heart and is respectful. I’ve actually known him my whole life but we didn’t talk much over the years I just rekindled it.

There’s not a ton to it we just went to school together and that was like 10 years ago. Also he told me we can meet at any place convenient for me so I chose my fave restaurant

I remember asking a lady out on a first date, and told her I would pick up two blocks from her house so I wouldn't know where she lived in case the date didn't go well.
May not be relevant but I wanted to share with you something in return.

We’re gonna meet there. We live in a city so it’s normal that people just meet at the place first date.

I’m not really sure. We’ll have to wait til we’re there. I’ll offer to pay my half but I’ve also had guys straight pay for it and not even ask me to/refuse to let me. It depends on the guy.

I would be of the mindset to pay for it myself. No matter who asked who out on the first date. After that we could figure out some new ground rules.

Great conversation and finding things go naturally and not forced, good atmosphere and do something we both love doing, the guy is sweet, etc.

The only thing I’m worried about is he’s extremely smart like a genius. He might think I’m dumb.

If that is the case then maybe he wasn't everything he was cracked up to be. If he is super sweet, I would think he has compassion, and/or empathy.

I dated someone who was way smarter than me. But I gave her all the love and caring I had.

He does though. He’s like the nicest guy I’ve met. Once in middle school some guy was annoying me and he swatted him away lol.
