Younger guys... "you know half the time you blush when you have to come talk to me" if a girl said that to you would you admit that you're interested.
He's told his friend he's interested in me. He knows I'm interested. I wanna open a space to allow him to admit that interest and potentially act in it.

I mean, I know I'm not a younger guy... but... really? You have definitely opened a space to allow him to admit that he is interested. In fact you aggressively cornered him into a space where he was literally forced to admit his interest. If he still is hesitant... I'm sorry, but that's not normal.
I don't even understand this (and I was a younger guy... not sooo long ago). If he knows you like him... why would he still be hesitant to say he likes you back? He's not... like "go to jail"-younger right? Because honestly, I could have figured this shit out when I was 12. I DID figure this shit out when I was 12 (and I make no claim to being a lady's-man).
But something is not right here. If this situation is as simple as two people liking each other, then there is no reason for his hesitation. Believe me... you opened a space to allow him to admit his interest... then you frog-marched him into that space, and twisted his arm while asking "are you gonna admit you're interested in me now? Or are ya just gonna sit there blushing and lying?" (metaphorically of course).
So I don't know what's going on here. But something isn't adding up.
Definitely not "go to jail" younger. 6 years difference. I know he's shy, obviously more so around me. I just want him know that I don't bite... Initially anyway
Haha, if you're trying to show him that you don't bite... you need to not be so agressive. You may not realize it. But saying what you said... is pretty damn agressive TO A SHY GUY. Take a step back and think about it. If he's just shy... what you did was back him into a corner and said: "I know you like me shy-boy... why are you being such a pussy about it? Just say it! Come on... say it! You like me. I know you do. You blush all the time. Like a bitch."
If you wanna show him you don't bite... you need to use a different approach. You did the opposite. You did some junkyard-dog barking and gnashing its teeth, while it strains on the end of its chain--type-shit. You need to provide him space by doing the exact opposite. Make a comfortable environment for him to feel COMFORTABLE telling you about his feelings. You created a distinctly and specifically UNCOMFORTABLE environment for him to tell you about his feelings. (and may have scarred this poor kid for life. Maybe not. Who knows.) Just... scale it back a bunch on the aggressively coercing him to tell you how he really feels. 🙂
😂 I haven't said it... Just contemplating it.
Id say its a sign of a lack of experience with girls.
I'm trying to anticipate what his response might be. His experience or lack wouldn't bother me.
Then don't have any expectations.
