Marriage in the US at least is entirely structured to screw over a man. If the woman you married suddenly doesn't like you for any reason? Say goodbye to half your pay. Had kids with her? Enjoy child support. No-fault divorce has given women the power to use hypergamy to game men out of as much money as possible.

That's why modern couples are increasingly getting prenups or just not getting married at all.
