We've just met this guy a few days ago and he says he wants to get to know me. Is he interested?

Do you think is it flirting when he says he wants to get to know me? Or could it be something friendly too? We are in our 30s, but still, sometimes I cannot be sure about guy's behaviors. What do you think?

It can go both ways , I say the same thing to girl’s that I meet that have similar interests with me , that I find attractive and feel we have similar interests , but just because she looks attractive to me , doesn’t mean I want to be with her , it takes more than just looks for me to be into a girl , So don’t just jump to conclusion thinking that person just wants to rip your clothes off and have sex with you , For me chemistry and connection is what matters , if I have a lot of similar interests with a girl and we have a lot in common then it could possibly go in that direction , making me more interested in her but that isn’t always the case, sometimes it could just lead to friendship. So basically I am not going to waste my time or her’s if we have nothing really in common , you have to remember we don’t walk around with signs flashing above our heads saying what we are into or what are relationship status is , or what our intentions are we can’t read each other’s minds , just because someone of the opposite sex strikes up a conversation with you doesn’t mean they just want to rip your clothes off , Me personally is more of a social person, if I am out in public , I like talking with me people whether it’s a guy or girl , if they are polite to me , I am going to be polite to them , I know nothing about their lives , so when It seems like I have positive energy with a guy or girl , and I enjoyed talking to them , to me they are a cool down to earth person If it’s a girl I connected well with then yes I am going to tell her I would like to get to know her more , it’s always a 50/50 chance when we meet someone new cuz again we don’t know someone’s life or what their background is , If I feel I really don’t have much in common with someone I am not going to waste my time with them , Same thing with friends , I am not going to waste my time with a friend if they have nothing really in common with me , what would be the point? One thing I learned in life is to never judge a book by it’s cover , I am not much of a judge mental person , if someone is nice to me I am going to be nice to them back and be respectful. I understand girls’ probably get more attention then guys do and hit on more because guys are more visual then girl’s are for the most part , so when I try talking to a girl and she is rude and disrespectful to me right from the start I lose respect for her, same goes to guys that are disrespectful to a girl right from the start , people that walk around like their shit don’t stink need a wake up call , they weren’t put on Earth as a precious Gems , we are all people that come from different paths in life. Most people just assume oh they just want me and want to fuck me , trust me I am. It sticking my dick into a girl I barely know anything about , I don’t care how good she looks on the outside , if she has a shitty personally and thinks her shit don’t stink , I don’t want anything to do with her what so ever or if she has a reputation of being a whore , i won’t be interested in her what so ever , I love sex but I only love sex with a girl I feel I have amazing chemistry and connection with and that it means something , if I just wanted to get off , I would jerk off , I don’t want STD’s , Guys and Girls that can just fuck anyone is dirty and degrading to me , I want nothing to do with them period.
