This guy likes me too and I just found out today that he’s like 18 I’m 23 I don't know why u feel so weird about that and i don’t think he’s gonna want me knowing I’m that much older than him is there anything wrong with this situation?

It's not a big difference at all. And say you're 21 as that's your actual age, no? I think he'd want to know your actual age, not the paper one. 3 years is nothing. If you were 23 that wouldn't be a problem either I think. If he is attracted to you there is a big chance he'll still be attracted. I wouldn't care if a woman was a bit older if I liked her.

I think if you explain the situation in detail then he'll believe you. He already likes you so probably he will believe you. I can only speak from my pov and I'd believe the girl that I like if she explained how the age thing happened. Also, whether he believes you're 21 or 23 it's not a big deal, there are a lot of guys who date older girls simply because they're attracted. He is already attracted to you, don't be afraid! You can also reassure him that the age gap doesn't bother you at all etc. :)

I don’t think there is anything wrong with that age gap but there are a lot of challenges that go with it. When I was 19 my boyfriend was 24. We were at different stages in our lives, I was still figuring out who I was as a person (didn’t realize it then) where he was a lot more settled. Also there were were a few times where he wanted to go to the bar with friends but I couldn’t due to my age and other minor things. Just have to open communication about you want and in general. If he legitimately likes you I don’t think being a few years older will be an issue. I know plenty of women who have dated younger and it worked for them.

I'm a 41 year old woman dating a 26 year old man. I was super hesitant to date him at first because of the age gap. However, after I gave him a real chance I quickly fell hard for him. This is easily the best relationship of my life (and much better than what I've had with guys my own age I've dated)

You've got to have compatible maturity levels and life goals. However, if that's the case then age is just a number.
