How do you respond to someone coming out to you?

There’s a guy who’s recently added me and come out to me. They wouldn’t say whether or not they know me, so I think it’s someone I know. Possibly my crush from last year. He’s the same age and it’s interesting that there’s one person on here who knows who I am, who’s been chasing me to talk to. I myself came out only to a few people as bisexual this year. How do I advise a guy I might know, that I was once in love with, who thinks he’s gay?
