How come I can’t move on from someone who says they own me or wants to: he believes that he can hangout with whoever and do whatever (except for sleep with them) and I should be okay with it. He believes it’s fair that I have all these rules like curfew, no drinking or being friends with single people, can’t wear certain clothes without him around (like crop tops or bathing suits) I’m not allowed social media and to hangout with guys one on one but he can do these things he said a friend from years ago is visiting him and he is gonna have her over and I said I’m so uncomfortable with that because he had just slept with someone 2 weeks ago after we broke up and I said it was too soon he says he won’t sleep with her but I hate the idea and I said if he hangouts with her at his place and not a coffee shop I won’t wanna talk and he’s totally fine with losing me because if it’s that easy to give up on him how can he trust me to stay when something gets actually hard like what? And I said well then I get to hangout with my guy friends and he said watch what happens if I do he won’t be playing any games with me and he’ll be done if I do it - he believes he owns me and says to trust him because of how well he takes care of his house and car he literally thinks he owns me he’s said it what do I do what’s wrong with me

That is abusive behavior, get out now. Please. I don't care how attractive, or wealthy he is, or how often he says he "loves" you. This is abusive and controlling. Expect once you are cut off from friends for he cycle of beatings / apologies to begin.

It’s so hard though that’s why I wonder wants wrong with me he says I’m crazy and make him do stuff he’s never done he’s choked me out 2 times one for crying and holding his leg cause he was just gonna leave for the night while we were arguing and the second time I don’t remember something about a necklace with his name on it I had lost it and then he went to a 3rd time because he dumped me and I wouldn’t let him go through my phone and he said if I didn’t he was gonna choke me out throw me outside and lock the door and I could watch him go through it like I know it’s horrible but I still feel guilty cause I believe he hasn’t acted like this with his exes

None of this is your fault. He is an abuser and the abuse will continue and get worse over time.

Even if you did something horrible, its no excuse for him to do anything other than leave. (and I very much doubt you did anything horrible).

Please don't think this is normal. I've been married >30 years. Do you know how many times I've hit, choked, slapped, or otherwise abused my wife? None. Never. I've only shouted at her a couple of times in 30 years.

I told him I was hurt at the thought of a girl being alone with him after he just slept with a girl right after our breakup and I expressed it was too soon and I wouldn’t be able to handle it and I would leave because it’s too painful and he said fine then leave and then I said how much that hurts that’s he’s always willing to leave anytime I ask him not to do something like why don’t I mean more I feel like an object but I’m more than that I love him and have done so much he knows this hurts me
