Guy friend is too reliant on me for emotional support and financial help?

I have a hard time with a guy friend who is used to me handling his emotional issues. Now that i have my own, i cannot seem to handle his as well. But it seems like he is used to me handling them for him. He also relies on me financially sometimes. Because of the gravity, i usually put him on seenzone. Why the utter reliance on me?

You need to create some healthy boundaries between you two. Friendship is supposed to be a two way road, not one doing for the other and getting nothing (or next to nothing) in return. Next time he’s asking for money or support, remind him of what you’re going through and when he doesn’t acknowledge that and instead asks for things, it makes the relationship feel one sided.
