My coworker gets nervous whenever i am around him. I have asked him why he gets nervous and he said “i don’t really know”.
i then asked him if he had a girlfriend and he said no.

If he is single then he probably likes you or intimidated by you. I'm leaning towards the former especially if you think he is shy. Look for other signs of attraction. Is he happy to be around you? Does he try to make you laugh? Does he come up to you to ask questions despite other people who he could of asked instead?
If he ever gets enough courage to ask you out, at the very least give him a date. Don't agree to a second date if you don't like him but do give him a chance unless of course you are completed appalled by him. The worst thing a woman can do is indirect rejection such as "I have to watch my dog" or "i kinda have a boyfriend" don't do this. Either say yes or no so that he knows with certainty and can began to heal and move on. If you are not interested in him and you say anything else instead of no, he may still have hope and try to hang on you to which can make things worse because he is still emotionally involved in you. Cut him free instead.
I'm still hurt from a woman who indirectly rejected me 5 years ago at work.
I have never talked to him, only professional stuff. He joined 3 months ago. But he always gets visibly nervous when i come near him.
you and him never had a conversation yet?

If he isn't anti social then yea he likes you
I asked him if he has a girlfriend to give him a sign. Do u think he got it?
Wdym lol
Im saying that i asked him if he has a girlfriend. That was a sign i gave him that I’m interested.
Oh then I guess, it should have him at the very least wondering
Not necessarily.
not necessarily
But why does he only get nervous when i show up? He will be relaxed when he is alone and when he realizes that I’m there he gets tense.
