I have had a crush on this guy I use to go to school with, never really talk to him, and it’s not like I would try my chances with him, but I had some doubts about maybe sending him a request on instagram, just because, I’ve been thinking so much about him lately, and part of me tells me to just send him a friend request, but another part of me is just afraid, like what would he think, or in any other case, would he think it’s weird?

What would you think if a girl you went to school with some time ago, just sent a friend request to you out of the blue? especially when you both graduated almost a year ago? is it weird or am I just overthinking it too much, I’ve been going crazy over a simple action and maybe is because I’m afraid he will just not accept it and I fear rejection, but still I want to know what would you do…

It's a friend request? Don't overthink it and just do it.

I've had former classmates, coworkers, and people I haven't talked to in YEARS find me on social media (some of them I wish they hadn't, haha) and guess what? I didn't think much of it. Either he will accept your request or deny it- hopefully not the latter.

In most cases when someone I went to school with adds me, I assume they're just being nosy and seeing what happened to me post-graduation or they want to stay in touch. He probably won't think much of you adding him unless you further message him and get to know him- which by the sounds of it, is what you want to do if you still like him.

Girl I’m on the same boat with the guy I like! Like Instagram and Facebook! Would that be weird and stuff as I am his student, he’s only a couple years older than me and I think he has feelings for me as well. So I don't know if I should send one or not. Was going to ask him for drinks but there was way too many people in the building! So I chickened out but I will see him again.
