I just found out that I am pre-diabetic and I definitely want to do my best to change that… I’m not wholly sure what to do…. I eat pretty okay food (trying to be mindful about adding more veggies and fruit to my diet) and I skip meals and forget to eat fairly often but have been gaining weight rapidly and can’t figure out why… my doctor didn’t believe me and said “try exercising or doing something fun when you’re feeling hungry, you’ve probably just been eating because you’re bored/feeling less depressed.” I told her that I’m eating way less and, while I may not be getting as much exercise as I should, I doubt that would cause me to gain 20 pounds in two months… now, just looking at food makes me want to throw up and/or self harm and I don’t know what to do…. Help?
I know two people with diabetes Type 2. One has to get shots a lot, the other is taking medication and tests his blood sugar levels everyday so he won't end up having to take the shots.
He said to get blood sugar testing supplies now so you can keep an eye on it.
Sugar is your enemy. Fruit and fruit juice are sugar! Even pasta turns into sugar.
Get on line and find out what you can and can't eat.
Exercise, like walking.
I know with me, I used to have problems eating food, so I would skip meals. I was always skinny my whole life. Then what happened was, I skipped meals, then when I did eat, my body took that food and turned it into fat. So, don't skip meals either.
Good luck to you 🌷

just be healthy and you can grow out of it. i've seen people myself get rid of it but the doctors dont want you to know that cause then they make less money
strange doctor.
gaining weight can have any number if reasons:
mineral deficiencies
lack of sun light
lack of physical movement
hormone imbalance
need for detoxification :
- heavy metals
- decaying flesh
- chemicals
- dairy
radiation
too much refined sugar
ultra processed and processed foods
unclean water
not enough water
not enough fiber
stressed
angey
depressed
virus
flora imbalance
Any of which can be a cause of your state lucky for you every single one of those is treatable
It sounds like you may be experiencing another medical issue other than prediabetes continuing to the weight gain. Doctors suck at listening so you'll absolutely have to advocate for yourself to find out what's going on. Have you had your thyroid tested? Have you been checked for celiacs or maybe an autoimmune disorder?
