I told my guy friend I liked him, and he said he would think on it. It’s been a week and he hasn’t brought it up again. What does this mean?

Even though he hasn’t brought it up again, it doesn’t seem like he’s distancing himself from me. Since then, he’s texted me about other things and he also wished me a good summer. I’m not sure if he’s still thinking it over or if this is an indirect way of showing that he only wants to be friends. So what should I do now?

"wished me a good summer" is what I zeroed in on. Does this imply that you're not going to be around for a while?

He might have something else lined up that will be accessible... so if that's the case, you're not outright getting a rejection, you're just on the back burner. If whatever is on the front burner doesn't pan out (like after the summer), then you'll probably slide up to the front.

What you may of desired is the outright commitment, so that he won't be out and about with the freedom of having options. That would limit his options from possible "Ms. Right now" to reserve himself just for you "Ms. Maybe later." Am I right in any way?

We’re both in college, and we’re on summer break right now. He’s also studying abroad this summer.
