Is this love bombing or playing?

I'm talking to a guy online, me and him did meet before in a party buy he lives in another city. When we first texted, he kept saying how beautiful iam was and how we were meant to be and how we match and that he wanted to get to know me deeply and that he was interested. I feel the same way, but if he's really like that, why does he answer me a few times a day or once a day. When I ask, he says that he works or doesn't have time or doesn't use social media even tho I see him sometimes online. He's my type, and he has a good personality and is also good-looking, but he just makes me sad and depressed whenever he barely answers me while saying I'm his type. And I talked with my friends and they said to leave and remove him. I'm just so depressed and don't know how to handle these kinds of situations.

Just because it says he is online does not mean he is. Those indicators are often inaccurate and he could have not logged out. Too many variables to use it as ammunition against him responding better. Have you talked to him about your communication expectations? I would if you haven't, guys generally hate texting, or at the very least boring. Maybe try to find some compromise. Try to get it out of your head that him not responding the way YOU want means you aren't his type, he doesn't like you, etc. That's absurd.

Tell him how you really feel. It will help him understand the emotional damage he causes on others as well
