So I visited this small Authentic family owned Filipino Restaurant with my Mom around January of this year, after studying a bit of the culture for fun (Cultural Anthropology is my Major ) I was greeted by the waiter who must’ve be the owner’s Son, he looked around 17 (I’m 19 ) both the waiter & staff were so friendly & warm and the food was great!. On Easter Sunday i wanted to bring my Mom to an Irish Restaurant but she wanted to go back to the Filipino Restaurant after not going since Jan, after finishing our food my mom called the Waiter for a to-go box and once he saw me he gave me this weird “Look” like of surprise but with a Big Smile. I quickly looked down after making eye contact due to embarrassment and shyness. The experience was weird & I don’t plan to go back anytime soon but that memory always is stuck in my head.

The fact that you LITERALLY just compared an atrocious event in history that happened to the Igorot Tribe, to my simple Question as to why the waiter smiled at me the way he did. IS what’s truly disgusting here. Essentially minimizing the suffering & humiliation that the victims experienced. You may wanna go back and re-read cause frankly that’s concerning. …. Second, I don't know where you’re getting this “Yellow Fever” idea from. You heard the word “Filipino” and automatically assumed that was the case when it wasn’t. I could care less about his race, i was just asking a simple question.

My SO is a former server, and she has told me many times that a server flirts with a customer to get a better tip. It's innocent and doesn't mean anything... it's fun for both the server and the customer.

LOL no, but he is cute. i just couldn’t tell if he was flirting or not. I mean yeah he's a nice guy. I just question why he had a surprise facial expression along with a big smile after a long time of me not visiting.
