Would you be annoyed if a guy you were texting always left you on open and text you back an hour later?

Like don’t get me wrong we all have our busy days or life’s but to be constantly doing it through out the day and night.
Won’t make any effort in planning something for us to meet up just feels one sided of you get me that he comes first if that makes sense I feel like I’m not considered at all just have to do what he says

If he's working or in school, he probably glances at it and replies when he is able to or not busy. I'm the same way: if I get an alert on my phone while I'm working, unless it's urgent or from my colleagues? I don't reply until I get some downtime, which can range from a few minutes, hours, or after I get off work.

If it's bothering you, just ask him to set up a date. Ask him when is he off and would be a good day and time for the two of you to meet up. If he's really into you, he'll give you an answer. If not, then you can judge him or assume he's not that into you.

I have patience but I just feel he’s not interested I can’t help feeling like that. Sometimes it’s nice when u make effort with someone but I suppose I’m this day and age it’s asking for too much and have to be a door mat until he decides he’s ready to make some effort on his own terms

Do yourself a favor and stop looking or go to settings and turn of read receipts.
You will drive yourself crazy with this.
I know it's hard because you probably really like him and want to talk to him more often, but some people are just not as good with texting.

To put this in perspective, think about how the older generations did it.
When I was a teenager I got 1 call a day on the landline phone. In a way, it was freeing, because I did not question where I stood with him. I just made sure to be by the phone between 6 and 8 pm.
Or older than that? When people had to wait until they saw each other in person or received a handwritten letter from their person of interest.

My hope in saying all that is that you can learn to detach from over analyzing the when and why of the texting details.

Now if he is not asking you out at all? How long has it been since you started talking?

It’s been over a week talking but I have to make the plans for the first date

I'd say that if thats a deal breaker for you, end it sooner rather than later.
If not, and you really like him, I would just plan the date! Go after what you want. Maybe you can get a better understanding of his actions after going out with him.

Yeah good luck finding a man that is going to be delighted with texting back every hour of the day all day. As you get older, you are going to be looked at as quite immature.

@asker so rule of thumb and life hack, the less you text the more likely a guy will make plans with you. He sees your texting a fulfillment to what you are looking for. If he doesn’t make plans even with the less texting, you will have your answer. Do not allow texting to substitute in person interactions. If you feel insecure in this situation - this situation isn’t for you

oh okay. well, if you know he’s busy, then that is a different matter. you know he’s busy, which means he’s not deliberately ignoring you, so if you care try to be understanding and supportive, because trust me, if he cares about you, he probably is feeling bad and worried that you’ll get upset by the fact that he is so busy and not able to reply fast all the time.
