My personal trainer wished me a happy birthday last week over text and then asked how old I was turning. Why would he want this info (more below)?

Him:Happy birthday!!

Me: Thanks so much!

him: hope you’re doing something fun!!

him: and how old are you today?

me: 28!

him: that’s a great age! I’m 30

(he’s actually 50 by the way)
