Why ghost to rematch?

I matched with this guy on an dating app. We talked for a couple months ended up meeting up one night and the next day he ghosted me. Forward a couple weeks now on another app he swiped right on me. Why swipe right if you ghosted me? No way he didn’t know it was me. I had used the same exact photos. What’s the point of ghosting to re-match to ghost again why not just swipe left?

Story time! I met a girl about 12 years ago who was SUPER interested in me. To the point where it was a red flag. When it came to finally meet, she ghosted (we video cammed plenty, not a catfish).

3 years later she texts me and says ghosting was a huge mistake and all that. I'm not interested in a relationship, but we still vibe well enough that we could potentially be friends. She spends a few weeks telling me how great and handsome I am (I have done nothing - lovebombing is very unattractive) and once again ghosts me.

This has happened 4 times now and normally I would just ignore, but I find this behavior fascinating. I also don't understand it at all.

Probably wanted to fuck again. Why are you worried about how he swipes? You should have moved on by then. He ghosted you REMEMBER?
