Most of the dating apps I have used have fake profiles, scammers, whores asking for money transfer, apple I phone, gift cards, etc.

I would report and block her. I have done it many times. I hate crime and criminals.

Last year when I started my social media accounts for my book series, I started getting messages from scammers, facebook alone was maybe 20 or 20 messages a day, maybe more. I would get messages from girls telling me they loved me, and when they sent the message, all I said was "Hi". I would get "I love you baby so much", and "We have a special gift for you" or "Send $300 to paypal and I'll meet you for sex'. My favorite one was "You've won the facebook lottery', and this woman kept sending one message after another, showing pictures of people holding up their 'Winning Certificates' and kept trying to convince me it was a real thing, even though I never said I didn't believe her, let alone send many messages back.

I don't bother with these types of people because they are scum. Scum to the core. They should be ashamed of themselves, especially for ripping off senior citizens because they're more gullible. The best thing to do is if you suspect someone is catfishing you, report the profile. Most websites have a policy and will at least look into it. It's a hit or miss though whether the take actions. I've had some take actions and others say "There wasn't enough' evidence to take action."

I normally don't rat on people and mind my own business, but these people rip so many people off and someone has to stop them! For sure!

I would ignore that. I had a few people text me on this site. I try to be friendly to everyone but as soon as they start talking about money problems I block them.

So I know its a fake and that means its a scammer , so Id just immediately block and report , it could be a very dark skinned gent in Africa using a VPN. Why would anyone have any other reaction?

most of the time it a fake girl that a pornstar so I look up the real porn star name and then just watch porn and say in my head that my girlfriend ( but it most like is an guy or and ugley girl on the other end) but even if it is a girl that not good look at least it a girl and maybe if she not that bad and real we could meet and go out in IRL. But most of the time it a fake person you never see to just take your money and they do not live where they say they live at and when you go there no one there will know who that is. But at least the drive there will be fun the 2h to 3h drive by your self in your car.

you can also call or report the scam or play with them a bit till they get mad and see it to hard to get money out of you and give up pilling at your heart strings.

Depends, if I was bored and had a bit of spare time, I might play along. Better that I waste their time talking to me than someone who might genuinely be scammed. And then block and report.

If I know it’s a catfish scammer, then I usually report them and block them, but I usually find them on most dating apps, Instagram, and Reddit

Depends on my mood. Slmost the time I just ignore catfish. But occasionally if I'm feeling kind of Jerky I troll them. Because what is a catfish really but a troll anyhow.
