+1 yQuite a few in high school. I was bullied a lot in junior high school... then I had enough.
In college my mom and then-girlfriends had both been on the receiving end of threats, so those.
A drunk guy in a bar just randomly decided to test me one night, broke a bottle and came at me because he didn't like vets for some reason. He went to bed early and I spilled half my drink, so I took the money out of his wallet to pay for my replacement. That would have been...2019 I think? Give or take a year?
I saw a guy kick a tied up dog in the face outside a dollar general store once. After he was readjusted we had a long talk about how to treat animals. Guess that was going on 20 years ago.
I did very physical things for the government overseas for quite some time, so quite a number of people there. The deployments stopped for me in 2017. I've only had to lay hands on people in minor ways since then, and that very seldomly.

Well and I guess technically there was a wolf once
Asker+1 yHow did you readjust the guy who beat the dog
- +1 y
Dental work and crutches were in his future
Asker+1 yI sent you a message
Asker+1 yThat's harsh doing that to someone for a dog

@Billlewis I've lost my share of fair fights. Anybody that says otherwise hasn't been in many real ones, but I do try to make it suck enough for the other guy that he doesn't want to go down that road again.
Now for the times where it was legitimately "only one of us is leaving here" then I was all too happy to provide them a lasting (or occasionally brief) opportunity to reflect on bad life choices, because I'm going home to my family. That's a very different type of fight though. - +1 y
He still has the use of his legs. I've done more for less.
- +1 y
er... that was @lenanolena
Asker+1 yThat's mad. Did you ever got into legal trouble
- +1 y
@Billlewis I'm just not smart enough to know when to stay down and I've got enough stamina to wear 'em down until I can catch up ;) After a handful of breaks in minor bones, having an ear cut off, most of an eyelid cut off, enough shrapnel taken out to fill a soap dish including a ricochet into the calf, an IED f'ing up three vertebrae, couple field surgeries without painkiller... a "normal fight" typically doesn't rise to the level of pain to draw my attention that much. Something hurts every day. Just how I know I'm still alive.

@lenanolena Most of the times it was self-defense or defense of others, so on the occasion that the cops actually did show up, they never took issue with it. In the dog situation I was just very persuasive in explaining why that wouldn't be his preferred course of action. Plus he had about 8 inches and 60lbs on me so I didn't see him being super thrilled at going to court and saying I whooped up on him.
Overseas there were occasionally warrants from what I was told. Nobody was really going to execute that though.
Very rarely do I not have bruises by the time the cops show up. It's not my fault I'm just better at "selfdefending" than they are.
Either side of the pond though, I have an affirmative right to self-defense, and a) I don't like getting hit and b) the sooner I get the other guy down on the ground for his safety the less time he spends doing things that requires me to hurt him, so really I'm doing him a favor.
Asker+1 yOK I have questions for you in private

In High school a guy was annoying me (He always verbally abused me 7th-10th grade) he somewhat laid off Junior and Senior year.
One day he was dancing around me in the locker room and I tried to fake punch him by throwing it to the side of his head but he moved as I threw my fist and clocked him right in the face.
He hit his head on the floor and was knocked out cold... for a few minutes.
He didn't tell on my because he was likely embarrassed plus he was annoying to every teacher anyway.

There were also girls/guys in sparring classes that I've won against but it wasn't a huge injury to them because it was an environment that was somewhat controlled.

+1 yI haven’t in a while but I have in the past.
The most recent time was like 4 years ago. It was someone I knew from high school who was talking a lot of shit.He had his location public on Snapchat so I literally pulled up to where he was and confronted him.
he continued to talk a lot of shit so I just started swinging lol. He didn’t even hit me back or anything. Pussy 🙄
Then cops pulled up and he pressed charges on me so I was arrested for assault.
He never showed up to court so charges were dropped.11 Reply

3.1K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. only once really. It was the year after I got out of high school. There was an industrial park in town that kids used to hang out at night on the weekends. This kid from high school that used to pick on me came over to me and called me a pussy. He shoved me. What he did not realize was that i was not the same kid I was a couple of year before. I had a move where I would get somebody in a headlock and flip them over my back. After he was on the ground I jumped on top of him and we wrestled on the ground. I rolled im over sand I saw a pile of dog shit on the ground and I rolled him over again and rubbed his face in it. I was angry and he was lucky I did not put him in the hospital.

You should have put him to sleep then rubbed his face in it and left him there for all to see
Only once in self defense when I was 18, one drunk idiot was trying to fool me and when I told him to leave my friends and me alone he pushed me, I pushed him back, he punched me and then all started. In the end I ended up with a slightly swollen lip and he ended up with a broken eyebrow and he had to go to the hospital. The police came because some neighbours called them due to my girl friends shouting us to stop but I refused to file a complaint because in the end the fights in the town remain simple fights and it is better not to involve the police because then I may have more problems.

+1 ySure did. Way back when I was in high school. I beat up the school bully then about 10 years ago I rang my daughters boyfriends bell pretty good. He tried forcing her to have sex. She wasn't ready. She came home crying, told me what happened and I immediately paid him a visit.

I used to like to fight. I was good at it as well. I still hit the heavy bag pretty regularly as well as a traditional striking board. But I haven't been in a fight in over 10 years.
10 Reply1.6K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Not very often, but I've been beaten up by numerous guys, and whenever they've beaten me up in front of their girlfriends, it really turned me on, although I'm ashamed to admit it... lol.
10 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. No. I got in a few minor fights in grammar school when defending myself against bullies, but my goal was to make them stop, not to beat them up.
00 Reply4.4K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. No I haven't. I haven't even seen a fight since I left high school. They never happen at the places I go. If they did, I would stop going there.

+1 yYes, street fights when I was younger. Very stupid, none for good reasons.
10 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Ya, I was always a big guy, but I never started anything, I just finished it.
Once I quit hanging out in that bar the issue went away.00 Reply- 2.2K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic.

+1 yDepends upon what you mean by "beat up." I've ended threats, but I do not keep striking an opponent who has submitted.

Asker+1 yHow did you end threats?

With the minimum force necessary. You still have not defined your meaning.
